RE: [MUSEUM-L] Re:Discovery Software

Meredith,

I understand your difficulties with the software, we are currently experiencing the same.  The best luck I have had is to contact the company directly and talk through the problems you are having.  I have found them helpful and responsive, even before we purchased the maintenance agreement.  I don't have much experience with the program, it was in use before I started working here but we have been able to successfully import data from excel format back into the database although it is a tremendous pain. Hope this information helps.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Re:Discovery Software

Hi Everyone,

My museum purchased Re:Discovery software for cataloguing our museum collections.  I have been working on trying to get all of the records into the computer system but am having a lot of difficulties.  Does anyone know of any resources that would help guide users through the process?  I have been through the training modules several times and printed out the entire user manual and am still having difficulties.

Also, if your museum uses the software, what did you think of it in general (or specifically)?

Any help would be appreciated.
