We had problems with geocaching at the Deering Estate.  The cache was placed in our natural areas without permission being requested.  I was able to find out who the local geocache folks were and we removed the piece.  In making requests, we found that few sites encourage geocaching.  On the other hand, there is such a thing as a virtual geocahche.
