I just attended the Midwest Region Conservation Guild meeting. There was a
good talk on the conservation of various types of miniatures.
I would suggest you contact the presenter of that talk, Cecile Mear,

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Ivory Miniatures

Hello all:

I am working on a collection that contains ivory miniatures. They are
framed and date to the early 1900s. Are there any tips on preservation or a
certain method used for these paintings? I'm interested in storage and
display options.

Thanks for any help.
