Hi all, I wanted to get my fellow museum professionals opinion on whether using Ebay would qualify as a "public auction" for disposing of deaccessioned items from museum collections. I think it would be the same as auctioning of items at Christie's, Sotheby's, etc. but wanted to make sure that there wasn't something that I wasn't thinking about or considered. As always, the funds would go back into collections--either for improved storage, conservation, or new artifacts. Thanks in advance for everyone's opinion. ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
