Just thought I'd drop a note to say "hello." I used to be on this listserv many years ago, but dropped out. I recently joined the staff of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and thought that it would be good to get myself back in tune with the museum community.
A little background information on me... I graduated with a degree in museum studies from the George Washington University in 1996 (any fellow alums out there?). Unable to get a job in collections management, I entered the field of grants administration. I've worked for the Smithsonian Institution's Office of Sponsored Projects, the National Park Service's Archeology & Ethnography Program and Heritage Preservation Services Division, and now IMLS.
I look forward to joining in on future discussions.
