I work at a historic farmstead, interpreting the years between 1850-1950 in Raleigh NC. Every other year, we host a traveling exhibit. We have about 1000 linear feet for exhibit space and a reasonable budget. In the past, we've worked with SITES, ExhibitsUSA, and a few smaller providers of exhibits. However, our usual suspects don't seem to be working out as we begin planning for 2005. I've been asked to both find some possibilities for 2005, as well as create a resource folder for future years. We're interested both in companies and historic sites/museums that may have their own traveling exhibit program. What are some other, perhaps lesser known providers of traveling exhibits? Is there any kind of network/database/central listing for those sites that may offer only a few traveling exhibits? Any guidance or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!
