Hi All! I find it interesting that these definitions all include collecting (verb) or collections (noun). So, centers/centres - be they art, science, etc. - with exhibits but without collections are not included? Seems a bit ridiculous . . . unless there's going to be a specific definition of "art center/centre," "science center/centre," etc. Sincerely, Jay Heuman Visitor & Volunteer Services Coordinator Joslyn Art Museum Cecelia Gibson's post: > Not getting involved in the argument, just thought someone might be > interested in this ICOM/ICTOP website listing several > definitions for the word "museum": > http://www.city.ac.uk/artspol/mus-def.html ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
