There is Still Time - Deadline for MAP Grants - December 1

The Museum Assessment Program (MAP) of the American Association of Museums can lead your museum through a process of self-study and peer review that will give you structure and guidance for improved operations.  MAP offers four types of assessments: Collections Management, Governance, Institutional, and Public Dimension. Grants for museums, arts centers, historical societies, botanic gardens, and zoos are available from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to underwrite most of the costs of a MAP assessment.

Grants are non-competitive, first come, first served.  Applications are easy to complete, the benefits are wide-ranging, and the MAP staff is only a phone call away for assistance.  The next grant deadline is December 1, 2002. For an application or more information, please visit www.aam-us.org/map.htm or contact the MAP office at (202) 289-9118 or e-mail at [log in to unmask].
