The Arizona Historical Society's Central Arizona Division in Tempe is =
seeking an Archivist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.A. in history or other social science and 3 =
years of experience in records management, historical research or =
technical archival work. Graduate studies in a closely related field may =
be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.

JOB DUTIES: Employee will perform professional and technical archival work =
in accepting, identifying, appraising, accessioning and describing =
historical and permanent records of state and local history.  Employee =
will also preserve and make these materials accessible to the public. =
Employee will work as a team member in providing reference and research =
assistance to museum staff as part of the exhibits process and to the =
public via telephone, e-mail and in person.

Preferred candidates will have:
     Good oral and written communication skills
     Knowledge of computers and software programs such as=20
     Microsoft Office
     Desire to work in a museum and library/archival setting
     Knowledge and experience of basic archival work
     Desire to work with people

Salary: $28,314/year plus State benefit package
