Museum News article, says:

significant in Long Island's motor history forming a complete museum of
roadside culture. Some candidates include: a gas station, a tourist cabin,
and a diner to serve as the museum restaurant.
J. Lance Mallamo is the official Suffolk County (NY) historian and
director of Historic Services for the Suffolk County Dept. of Parks,
Recreation, and Conservation. He's at: (516) 854-4971
But furthermore, Susannah asks, "Why a Duck?"
