I, Peter Rebernik and all undersigned, demand the following from the
responsible persons of NATO:


All people belonging to the democratic and civilised nations regret deeply
that in the course of the bombing of Serbia by the NATO, many innocent
people died and were wounded.
Not one of them was tried or convicted for racism against any person of
another origin e.g. Albanian or because of any involvement in the ethnic
cleansing in Kosovo.
These persons were hit “just by accident”. They could be defined as innocent
victims of a greater cause.

Since the organisation and the members of NATO claim that they represent
civilised nations defending the ideals of humanity and democracy, these
persons and their families have the right to be recognised as innocent
victims.
The ancient rule of “the goals justify any kind of means” have to be
denounced as uncivilised and not worthy of any of the democratic and
civilised members of NATO.

Therefore, it is demanded that the commander-in-chief of Nato in the name of
the responsible member states apologises in person officially and offers
substantial assistance to the families of killed persons and to the
surviving heavy wounded persons – irrespective of any changes in the
government of Serbia.

The NATO officials should confess that it was a mistake to kill and wound
innocent persons in the process of defending humanity.
They should also promise that in future the military personnel will be
trained better to limit the unwanted human causalities. In future, it will
be NATO’s policy to train a pilot better: If a pilot can hit a narrow bridge
exactly, he can also look for any train crossing before bombing the bridge
etc.
