At Miami University in Oxford, Ohio was a small natural history collection of everything from butterfly wings and bugs (of course) to a preserved two-headed calf in a bottle. We went to this museum to draw for one of my design classes. I never did draw that calf head!
My favorite museum trips as a young girl were to the Natural History Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio, where you paid a quarter to get in (passing through a turnstile) and immediately were greeted with a giant mastodon. No trip was complete without going through the man-made cave.
My memories have nothing on that werewolf made of a deer's rear-end.
Thanks for the memories!
