Our neighbor here in Philadelphia, the new National Liberty Museum, has one
gallery dedicated to heroes around the world-- people who saved others'
lives or advanced peace, or represent that struggle: Anne Frank, Nelson
Mandela, Mother Teresa, Pastor Martin Neimoller, and others less well known
such as a Polish peasant family who hid a family of Jews beneath their floor
during World War II for more than a year and a half. There are people from
many countries. This gallery is based on the theme that one person can make
a difference, and that heroes are found all over the world. You can get
some ideas from their web site, www.libertymuseum.org.
