Dear Cyberbuds,
Just want to share the resultant document of information gathered from all
over with the great assistance of this list in time of dire need. Once again
thankyou for responding!!
This document was taken to a disaster clinic in Greensboro NC in October
sponsored by the NC League of Municipalities and was very much appreciated
by town clerks,mayors, librarians and individuals attending.For all those
who actually contributed to charts and websites through years of hard work
and research it was sincerely appreciated.
Next to my table was the director of The Humane Society of the United States
and the American Red Cross. I learned a very valuable piece of information
.Some pets were left behind to fend for themselves, the owners thinking they
would be there when they returned. Many strays were brought to higher ground
in Raleigh. A first time for the removal of animals from their geographical
area.The resultant problem became one for the Humane Societies to repatriate
pets. A microchip inplant with vital information is cheap insurance on the
return of your pet.
Regards
