Will the items at auction be available for
viewing/bidding on your web site during the time of
the auction? I certainly hope so. Could help you to
substantially increase the funds and promote further
diversity.
Conversely, they could be posted on Ebay I think or a
place like that, though I'm not sure how you would be
able to overrule the Ebay purchaser if the real-time
buyer's bid is higher--unless you had a terminal
available for that purpose at the site and used it for
part of the auction bidding (probably best way yet as
I think of it).
