I am compiling a list of registrars world wide (if possible) who can be
hired on contract to do anything from performing a condition report (with
or without photos), supervise packing, manage an exhibition - or a loan or
anything else registrarial in nature that a museum might wish to have
performed on a contractual basis.
I am looking for people who have professional museum experience only.
I am aware that in many countries conservators perform this function and if
you know of conservators who can do condition reports they would fall into
this category also.
Some registrars who are working for museums are also willing to do an
occasional freelance job - I would like to hear from or about them as well.
This list will be made available on the AAM-RC's list serve (eventually)
and will be of great assistance to many museum staff registrars who need to
hire trusted colleagues outside of their own vicinities. Only people with
museum experience will be listed.
Please send to <[log in to unmask]> about yourself or a trusted colleague:
name
contact info (city, country; phone; fax; email)
one line on relevant experience
Thanks so much!
