I crawl out from under the lurk rock to ask a question. I have a rather
severe humidity problem in a storage room that is about 21,000 cubic
feet. At the moment I do not have the time or money to hire an engineer
and install some sort of permanent humidity control system. I have not
been able to find much information about this subject on CoOL or on any
of the manufacturers' Web sites. I'm thinking about using one or two
portable 'home' dehumidifiers as a quick, inexpensive stopgap measure. If
my calculations are correct, a unit that claims to remove 50 quarts/day
at a fan speed of 137 cfm would do a total air change about every two
hours. I would like to know if this rate and removal capacity is
reasonable. Should I get two units (or more). Can anyone recommend a
source that discusses this type of thing. Help.  Thanks
