If it's an antique with a history, put it in a case. Then go for a drive this
weekend, stopping at farm stands. Buy gourds. Cut openings and scrape out the
seeds, as for a jack-o'-lantern. Let them sit around over winter until they
dry. You will have dippers.
Now that I remember it, we used to sing a song in junior high, reputedly a
slave time song, "Follow the Drinking Gourd."
