I received a number of off-list replies to my query about maps, tourist
brochures, etc., and will respond privately to all who requested additional
information. Unfortunately, I'm pressed for time right now--just getting
ready for a trip--and will have to give more details late next week when I
return home. For the time being, I'll just add the following general
information:
The photographer's name was Donald Sultner-Welles, and he was from York,
Pennsylvania. He traveled and photographed all around the world, giving
slide lectures in many venues, including cruise ships, and accumulated these
materials during his travels. Most of the materials are from Europe and
North America. They're standard guide books, maps, brochures, etc. Although
they are pertinent to his photographs, they tend to duplicate other records
in the collection which document the places he visited. Thanks to all who
expressed interest and I'll get back to you individually.
