Another possible resource as far as archaeological resources - was your state
historic preservation officer contacted when the arch. sites were going to be
destroyd?  there are laws that prevent or control destruction of cultural
resources - but sometimes administrations don't know or ignore these laws.  a
state regulatory agency can assist.  and there are laws that protect you if
retaliated against.
i hope you find (or have) a new job where you will be happier soon.
