Perhaps this is off the topic of corporate collections as it deals
specifically with university collections but I have a few questions
regarding this seemingly similar type of private collection.
Would a University Museum collection be considered a "corporate" collection?
How does the management structure of either "corporate", "private" or
"University" Museums commonly work? Presently our Museum changes
directorial hands frequently and becomes lost in University red tape making
long-term goals seem impossible.
Does anyone have article references or information sources that might be
helpful regarding either "Corporate" or "University" collections?
As I work for a University Museum I commonly feel left out of the loop on
many "Musuem" issues and am looking for ways to offset the "private"
feeling of the collection and become more accessible to the public. Is
incorporation necessary to do this?
Thx
