Hi, Museum-L'ers
Our volunteer coordinator is leaving us and we have no education
coordinator. I am considering combining the two positions and wondering
if anyone has any experience with a position that blends the two. I can
see pluses and minuses and am looking for other opinions before I make a
decision. Also, as background...we have a volunteer pool of 100+, but
probably only about 25 are quite active. We have a small and growing
gallery docent program and offer a few classes and guided tours for
school groups. We also have a monthly lecture program and are becoming
active in a community education consortium. We do not currently have
funding for both ed and vol coordinators.
Any thoughts about the success of a combined position?
Thanks in advance,
Stacey Otte
