Although not a museum project, Somerville Community Access Television in
Massachusetts ( http://www.access-scat.org/ )and Roberto Arevalo developed
the Mirror Project in 1992 ( http://www.mirrorproject.org/ ). They work
with people aged 9 to 21 -- teach them to use video equipment and then use
it to create a project of their choice. It's not, strictly speaking, an
oral history project...but it is very much community-based.

Subject: oral histories by high schoolers
Hi Everyone -
Do you know of a project in which high school students conducted oral
histories or photographed/videotaped within their communities - and the end
product of this research was an exhibit or video production? If so, I'd
love to know about it!
Please reply to the list.
Thanks!
