Greetings!
DC Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery, established in 1896, part of
the US Fish and Wildlife Service, is preserving the history of fish
culture (or aquaculture) and fisheries. We have been working with our
local school system on eductional programs and
community/school/hatchery partnerships.
The possibility of a grant to work with an educational group from
Japan has been discussed. Does anyone know of historic fish
hatcheries in Japan or hatcheries with educational programs, or
museums with fish culture collections? These would be historic
collections, not natural history collections.
Thank you for any information.
