APPRAISALS
Performing appraisals or authentications can be useful to a
museum and the public it serves; however, there should be
institutional policy covering the circumstances where
appraisals are desireable or permissible as an official
museum-related function. Any appraisal or authentication
must represent an honest and objective judgment, and
must include an indication of how the determination
was made.

Robbin Murphy (who happened to be awake during that particular
class)
