I think you can use petroleum based solvents like mineral spirits or even
WD-40 without affecting the acrylic material. "Bestene" rubber cement
thinner should also work well, but protect your skin with some latex gloves.
Always a good idea to try a small sample area first. Do not use laquer
thinner or acetone, as they will etch into the acrylic surface.
