I am Executive Director of the Middle Border Museum in Mitchell, SD , a
community of approx. 14,000. We are currently in discussion with a local art
center, exploring possible partnering opportunities to best utilize the
limited resources of our area. One topic that has been discussed is the need
of both organizations to have a development director. The possibility of
this being a position being shared by our two organizations has been
discussed. My question is: 1)Does anyone have any experience with or
knowledge of other similar arrangements? 2) How successful/unsuccessful was
the arrangement? 3)What would be a fair market salary for such a position in
our region? 4)Any other comments.
Thank you in advance,
Chris Hanson
