The Montclair Art Museum is embarking upon a expansion project which will
result in its first installation of a renowned permanent collection of
American and Native American art. Four galleries will be devoted to
installations of American art from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, as
well as Native American art from all the major culture areas of the United
States. The projected opening date is Fall 2002.

The Museum's curators are looking for information about other museums
engaged in installing or reinstalling American and Native American art
collections. We would enjoy establishing a dialogue with our colleagues.
Please contact us at:

Gail Stavitsky, Chief Curator [log in to unmask]
Twig Johnson, Curator of Native American Art [log in to unmask]
Diane P. Fischer, Associate Curator [log in to unmask]

Thank you very much.
