Museum Assessment Program Coordinator
American Association of Museums.
MAP serves 200 museums a year with a program that enhances institutional
development and performance through a program of self-study and peer review.
The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program:
counseling participants, working with peer reviewers, conducting program
evaluation, managing financial records and devising marketing strategies,
and works closely with AAM research and accreditation departments.
This is a is a wonderful opportunity to broaden your understanding of museum
standards and best practices, cultivate relationships with leading museum
professionals, and contribute to excellence in the field.
Minimum qualifications: B.A. and 3 years museum experience; experience with
project management; familiarity with common software, including databases.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational and
communications skills.
Salary in the low- to mid-30's.
