Glen -
The Museum of Discovery in Arkansas (www.amod.org) has an annual "I Dig
Dinosaurs" week, which includes a dinosaur dig in a giant sandbox. They
use large wooden pieces ("bones") that fit into each other to form a 6
foot-tall Stegosaurus. The kids use shovels and brushes to discover the
bones - several volunteers stand by to help them assemble the pieces.
This is a huge hit every year. Plus, the museum rents the Stegosaurus to
schools, camps, etc. during the year. The dinosaur gets a lot of mileage
and it only takes 30-45 minutes for 2 or 3 volunteers to recoup and
rebury...
Hope this helps!
Lennie
