The Octagon, the Museum of the American Architectural Foundation is
circulating an exhibition that explores a little-known aspect of George
Washington's life. Known for his military and political exploits, George
Washington was also a highly accomplished self-taught builder whose home at
Mount Vernon has become an icon for early American design and whose
architectural influence extended well beyond his famous Virginia estate.
The panel exhibition can be wall mounted or free-standing and consists of
reproduction photographs, drawings, prints and paintings.
