Where are you located? Many questions can be answered by mentors who have
many years experience with such items. Peers can also confirm your
opinions when you need to search out a conservator (and possibly give
recommendations).
Many regional and state groups have affinity groups for registrars and
collection management personnel (I joined the Collection Managers Committee
in Texas to meet peers). Contact the local chair of your region and see if
they can pair you up with an oldtimer...I mean mentor.
