Well, one of the big (big for a small town, anyway) grocery stores
here has weather over the produce section. You hear thunder sounds,
with flashing lights over the produce, then the misters come on.
Shoppers are thus warned of water coming. The water is fairly well
directed, the floor doesn't get wet. I don't know what it does to the
relative humidity in the area, probably causes some fluctuations.
Maybe a hot, drying wind could follow?
Will the exhibit be in the midst of everything else, or can it be
isolated to contain the effects of your weather?
