Message sent on behalf of David Fleming, President of INTERCOM
Dear all,
INTERCOM is one of the newer ICOM committees, and its foundation reflects the growing recognition of the management challenges which face museums worldwide. As new demands are made of us by society we need to learn new skills to sit alongside the traditional ones or we will fail to live up to expectations. INTERCOM is a forum for exchanging ideas and experience, and our international meetings and conference papers reflect current practice, common issues and new thinking. Our website is being reinvigorated in line with our more active role in disseminating best management practice.
Click here to access the website to find information including:
- the latest INTERCOM papers presented in Prague in November 2005
- Minutes from the 2005 annual meeting
- Leadership Seminar in Klagenfurt, Austria (6-7 April)
- Intercom Study Series publication
We welcome any suggestions and ideas to continue to develop INTERCOM as an active forum and look forward to hearing from you soon.
With best wishes,
David Fleming
President of INTERCOM
