You might want to contact Bernard Reilly at the Chicago Historical Society,
since I think they faced a similar problem in trying to bring their
collections and archives on line using the same software. I seem to
recollect that they ended up with two different programs, since the MARC
capability of collections software, while available, was not up to the
standards that they needed. The CHS number is 312 642-5035; I think his
