EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
American Museum of Asmat Art
The American Museum of Asmat Art, founded in 1995, seeks a part-time
(60%) executive director. The museum, located in the Twin Cities suburb of
Shoreview, Minnesota, is completing its fifth successful year of
introducing the Asmat (New Guinea) people, their art and culture, to
growing
audiences.
The Board of Trustees seeks an energetic, organized, and knowledgeable
executive to guide the museum through its next phase of development. The
director's responsibilities include managing the museum's operations;
providing leadership for the museum's unique mission and its curatorial
and
educational programs; working with a 17-member Board of Trustees and
various
volunteers and committees; and coordinating support staff.
Candidates with a high degree of motivation and creativity are encouraged
to
