At the recent AAM convention in Cleveland, the session "What's Going On: Hot
Topics in Exhibit Development" proposed three topics for in-depth
discussion: technology, architecture, and institutional paralysis.
(Unfortunately, time only permitted discussion of that last item.)  To
illustrate these topics, three haiku were composed.  In response to numerous
requests, we post them here.

The perfect wedding
of medium and message.
The budget demurs.

The architect dreams --
towers gleam in August sun;
no people inside.

Institutional paralysis

Winter turns to spring.
The project isn't moving.
Another meeting.
