The Division of the History of Technology at the Smithsonian National
Museum of American History is hiring a project assistant to work on a
major new exhibition on the history of transportation in America. It's
a "not-to-exceed three years" job at the GS-9 level: $33,650 - $43,747
per annum.

The successful applicant should have knowledge of American history,
particularly the history of transportation in the 19 th and 20 th
centuries; knowledge of museum exhibition techniques and processes;
knowledge of collections management practices; and skill in research
