CITY OF ROSWELL, NM — MUSEUM REGISTRATION / COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT
INTERN
Salary Range: $5.77 per hour ($1000 monthly stipend) along with limited
relocation funds.
Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or
university with a degree in American History, Anthropology, Art History,
or a related field.
Experience: None required.

This is a nine month temporary full-time position beginning June 1,
2000. The intern will work with curatorial staff on varied projects in
registration and collection management. Particular focus will be a
collection of approximately 2,500 Native American (primarily Plains) and
Western Americana artifacts. An outstanding opportunity for individuals
interested in pursuing a museum career, the internship offers excellent
hands-on training in a regionally focused 50,000 square foot facility
with collections in art and history. Candidate should have a bachelor’s
degree in an appropriate field — those actively pursuing a master’s
