Yes, it's called Chernobyl, and it supposedly wipes out your hard
drive.  It embeds itself in various parts of your puter and hides,
awaiting to be activated on the 26th.  It first showed up in Taiwan
about a year ago.

Several of the news sites (cnn comes to mind) have links to viral
protection.

On a related note, a "frog's in a blender" executable file is floating
around the web.  Our computer specialists at work say it has a virus
embedded in it targeted to go off on the 26th.  I'm guessing it's the
host for Chernobyl.

Tomorrow, I plan to set my computer a couple of days ahead so as to
bypass the 26th for safe measure.  I'll readjust it to the correct date
on the 27th or 28th.

I've been sent that file a number of times, but I delete it, and I've
told my closest friend that I have a no executables policy these days.
Hate to have to do that, but you have to.
