Hi, Museum-Listers,
A person has a large (7 feet long, 8 inches deep at one end tapering to 1/4
inch at the other)
piece of whale baleen that has been in his/her family for ages and is
considering donating it
to UT. Endangered species and marine mammal issues aside (we are
investigating that separately for this case),
we are wondering if anyone out there can lead us to how we might get the
specimen
appraised for monetary value.
Thank you,
Edward Theriot
