We use "Exhibitions and Collections Manager" for a position with these same
responsibilities.
>Having worked in Cultural Resources Management, that title would be
>misleading in the musuem setting as you are describing it. How about
>"Collections and Museum Resources Coordinator" or "Collections Coordinator"
>or "Museum Resources Coordinator" since you are describing a
>multi-dimensional position which overseas and coordinates various areas and
>functions of the museum?
>
>>We are searching for a position title that accurately describes a
>>position in charge of all of the following areas:
>>
>>collections management (including registrarial duties),
>>
>>archives,
>>
>>library,
>>
>>exhibitions,
>>
>>and security - in short, all cultural resources.
>>
>>We're toying with Cultural Resources Manager or Coordinator since it
>>covers all the bases, but this title seems to be popular mostly in
>>government circles (e.g. NPS and NSDA) rather than museums. Any ideas
>>would be appreciated.
>>
>>Thanks,
