Ann,
In the Federal Gov't (includes the Smithsonian, National Park Service,
etc.) we get all Federal holidays off (approx. 10 days/year).
For the first 3 years, vacation leave is 4 hours per pay period (13
days/year). After 3 years of service, vacation leave increases to 6
hours per pay period (19.5 days/year). Finally after 15 years,
vacation leave goes up to 8 hours per pay period (26 days/year). In
addition, Feds get 4 hours per pay period of sick leave (13
days/year).

As you can tell we are in a re-wrtie policy mode.
We give only 6 holidays, vacation one week the first year and two the
second and one additional day each additional year, up tp 20.
How does this compare with other museum?
I will be glad to compile the results for this lists. Thanks for all
the help.
