Dear colleagues:
I will be hiring two seasonal Museum Aids to work for me during the current
fiscal year. One position will run from mid-February through September 2000 and
the other will be for the summer only, for three months. Both positions are
full-time and at the GS-04 pay level with the federal government. The longer
position is being advertised now on the Office of Personnel Management's website
(www.usajobs.opm.gov). It closes December 29th. The shorter position will be
advertised sometime in the spring.
The main job duty for these positions will be the cataloging of farm machinery
and other agricultural items at Eisenhower National Historic Site, a unit of the
National Park Service. Please encourage anyone who might be interested to look
for the announcements on USAJOBS for more details. The announcement number for
the longer position is GETT 99-48. Directions for applying are included in the
announcement.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Florer
Museum Curator
Eisenhower National Historic Site
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
