Title: Literacy Specialist, full time.
Salary/ Benefits: $716 per month living allowance, education award of $4,725

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chair of the Literacy Roundtable and the
St. Louis Public Library, this position provides support services (meeting
coordination, newsletter production, grant research) for a city wide
literacy network.
Requirements: Position mandates a flexible personality, familiarity with
windows based software and spreadsheets. Must have own transportation.
Undergraduate degree preferred.

Position Available: Manager of Events
Hours
This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, which will mainly
be during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
with a 1-hour lunch). Manager of Events must be flexible, as they will be
expected to work an average of one event each week.
Qualifications
The Manager of Events should possess administrative, social and sales
skills. Administrative abilities should include organization, basic
accounting and word processor/spreadsheet knowledge. Candidate should be
professional and comfortable making sales presentations and conducting
walk-throughs. The ability to be multitask oriented is essential. A
four-year degree and event coordination experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
· Reports to the Director of Sales and Events
· Generate contracts, event sheets and calendars for future events
· Light spreadsheet accounting accounts receivable
· Sell events to potential clients
· Coordinate events with clients and attend a portion of them as the
Library coordinator.
· Take reservations for the group tour program
· Other various related duties
