We are considering adding a new category of membership to
our historical society. The target member would be fourth
graders, since this is the grade in which students get local
history in our area. We do have a family membership of $30,
and an individual membership of $20. We would charge $10
for this "junior" membership.
Our goal is to increase and expand membership and to foster
an interest in local history at a young age.
Has anyone tried this? How successful was it? What did
these members get for their involvement? (We were thinking
along the lines of special events/activities, newsletter).
Advice and ideas are welcome!
Thank you,
