Dear Listers:

I didn't intend to jump into this thread until I read Roger's clarification
about the invention of the printing press. I wonder if Chris Gordy was
thinking of movable type? Wasn't that the catalyst for mass production of
books and pamphlets? If that's correct, then I cast my vote that way, too.
