Dear colleagues:

We would like to hear from other museums (especially medium-sized art
museums) that have undergone or are undergoing long-term planning for
technology needs and the impact of technology, particularly planning at the
Board level, not just planning done by staff.

If your museum has systematically planned for technology, or has included
long-term technology needs in a formal long-term planning process,

1) Would you describe the process?
2) Are you still planning, or are you in implementation?
3) Did you use a consultant in the planning process? If yes, can you
recommend either a specific consultant, or describe the ways you used a
consultant that either were or were not fruitful?
4) How were Board involved in the process? If a consultant was used,
were they helpful in including Board?
5) Any other thoughts or particulars.

Many Thanks.
