Pam (and others)
a new centre has just opened in Cardiff, Wales, which may be able to help
you on early years education in the arts. It is called the Centre for
Visual Arts, and the Education Director is Fiona Godfrey. Their website is
http://www.cva.org.uk/ and you can reach Fiona at [log in to unmask]
Another source of ideas is Walsall Art gallery, who open their new site
soon. They have had temporary exhibitions for young children that included
works from their collection. Their new building will include a permanent
Discovery Gallery. They have a lot of experience of interpreting their
collection for a range of audiences, including young children. The Events
and Activities officer there is Nicky Boden (unfortunately I can't find any
contact details at the moment).
Good luck with your workshop,
Andy
