Museum Director
The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky, population 48,000, seeks a Director for
Riverview, a historic house serving as a house museum representing the period
1860-1890. The director is responsible for daily operation of the house,
planning, supervision of caretakers and volunteers, and implementation of
board policies and budget. The ideal candidate will have the following
qualifications:
A college degree in an associated field
Appropriate job and administrative experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of 19th century history/life
Preference will be given to those candidates who possess the following
experience: museum shop management, operation of a historic site, computer
skills, budget preparation, volunteer and caretaker management, grant writing
and administration, fund-raising, and marketing.
The successful Director will have good organizational habits, the ability to
manage different projects at once, patience, and be resourceful.
Immediate opening. Salary range: $21,000-25,000. Benefits package. Send
